- apple iPhone 3GS - 32GB - black (AT&T)

- Bottom Line: The iPhone 3GS doesn't make the same grand leap that the iPhone 3G made from the first-generation model, but the latest apple handset is still a compelling upgrade for some users. The iPhone 3GS is faster and we appreciate the new features and extended battery life, but call quality and 3G reception still need improvement.

- apple iPod Touch (third generation, 64GB)

- Bottom Line: Though the updates are subtle, the third-generation iPod Touch still leaves its competitors in the dust.

- apple Magic Mouse

- Bottom Line: apple's new wireless Magic Mouse gets a sleek makeover and even has multitouch controls, but it's better as a portable laptop companion rather than a full-size desktop accessory. The swiping gestures add interactivity to Web browsing and media, but the awkwardly narrow single button design leaves us reaching for better mice from Logitech and others.

- apple iPod Touch (third generation, 32GB)

- Bottom Line: Though the updates are subtle, the third-generation iPod Touch still leaves its competitors in the dust.

- apple MacBook Pro Summer 2009 (Core 2 Duo 2.26GHz, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Nvidia GeForce 9400M, 13-inch)

- Bottom Line: Previously known as the MacBook, apple's basic 13-inch aluminum unibody laptop has been promoted to the "Pro" series, all while adding features and cutting the base price.

- apple iMac (27-inch, 3.06Hz Intel Core 2 Duo, ATI Radeon HD 4670, Fall 2009)

- Bottom Line: apple's new 27-inch iMac will charm plenty of you with its screen size alone. Fortunately, that won't lead you astray. Behind its expansive display, apple has packed one of the fastest all-in-ones available, and added a few useful extras to sweeten the deal. This iMac isn't perfect, but its positives far outweigh its negatives. We can think of few users to whom we wouldn't recommend this system.

- apple iPod Touch (third generation, 8GB)

- Bottom Line: Though the updates are subtle, the third-generation iPod Touch still leaves its competitors in the dust.

- apple iMac (21.5-inch, 3.06Hz Intel Core 2 Duo, Nvidia GeForce 9400M, Fall 2009)

- Bottom Line: Despite its good looks and a few useful new features, apple's new iMac is all about business. You can find a larger screen for less, not to mention all kinds of digital entertainment features, but no other all-in-one at this price can boast similar performance. If you need a modestly priced all-in-one for getting work done, we'd recommend no other system.

- apple iPod Nano (fifth generation, 8GB, silver)

- Bottom Line: No other MP3 player on the planet packs more features, from video to a pedometer, into a smaller package than the overachieving apple iPod Nano.

- apple iPhone 3G - 16GB, black (AT&T)

- Bottom Line: The iPhone 3G delivers on its promises by adding critical features and sharper call quality. The iTunes App Store is pretty amazing, and the 3G support is more than welcome. Critical features still are missing, and the battery depletes quickly under heavy use, but the iPhone 3G is a big improvement over the original model.

- Bottom Line: No other MP3 player on the planet packs more features, from video to a pedometer, into a smaller package than the overachieving apple iPod Nano.

- apple MacBook Fall 2009 (Core 2 Duo 2.26GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, Nvidia GeForce 9400M)

- Bottom Line: apple's latest version of the popular $999 white MacBook gets an upscale makeover, while keeping the price the same. It's a strong alternative to the more expensive Pro line, if you can live without extras such as an SD card slot.

- apple TV (40GB)

- Bottom Line: With its enhanced iTunes video offerings, PC-free operation, and a lower price tag, the updated apple TV is a compelling Internet-enabled entertainment device for the living room.

- apple iPod Touch (first generation, 16GB)

- Bottom Line: The iPod Touch is a beautiful product, inside and out, but prepare yourself for sticker shock.

- apple iPhone - 8GB (AT&T)

- Bottom Line: Despite some important missing features, a slow data network, and call quality that doesn't always deliver, the apple iPhone sets a new benchmark for an integrated cell phone and MP3 player.
- Product reviews 2007-06-30
- apple MacBook Pro 2009 (2.66GHz, 17-inch)

- Bottom Line: A little late to the party, apple's redesigned 17-inch MacBook Pro joins the 15-inch model with a redesigned aluminum body, new trackpad with expanded functionality, and a dual-graphics setup for either longer battery life or better performance.
- Product reviews 2009-02-27
- apple iPod Nano (4GB, white)

- Bottom Line: Thanks to its limited capacity, the gorgeous iPod Nano isn't for everybody, but it sets the standard for MP3 players to come.
- Product reviews 2005-09-13
- apple iPod Touch (second generation, 32GB)

- Bottom Line: The second-generation iPod Touch includes features that are light-years ahead of the competition, its design has improved, and its price has finally come down to earth.

- apple AirPort Extreme Base Station (Winter 2009)

- Bottom Line: The AirPort Extreme Base Station is a great wireless router for Mac or novice users who need something that's simple, nice-looking, and works well for their homes. Savvy Windows users will find many other alternatives that offer a lot more features for their bucks.
